Former Labour minister and crossbench peer Frank Subject has died aged 81 following a two-year battle with terminal most cancers.

The veteran politician who served as an MP for Birkenhead for 40 years and because the minister of reform underneath Tony Blair’s authorities was effectively revered throughout the parliament benches.
