Rescuers looking for skiers trapped in Little Cottonwood Canyon avalanche

LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON — Emergency crews from a number of jurisdictions are searching for three skiers believed caught in an avalanche close to the Lone Peak Summit space of Little Cottonwood Canyon.

First responders acquired a name about 10:15 a.m. Unified police weren’t instantly saying on Thursday who made the decision.

The search is within the Large Willow space close to Lone Peak. Further data on the search effort and who crews are searching for was not instantly accessible.
