Port Sudan, Sudan — A sequence of assaults by Sudanese paramilitary forces within the western area of Darfur elevate the potential of “genocide” in opposition to non-Arab ethnic communities, Human Rights Watch stated Thursday. The violence, which included atrocities equivalent to mass torture, rape and looting, peaked in mid-June — when 1000’s have been killed inside days — and surged once more in November.
