CHICAGO — McDonald’s U.S. franchises are contemplating launching a $5 meal deal, a supply aware of the matter stated on Friday, because the fast-food chain seems to attract extra inflation-hit clients to its eating places.

World restaurant chains reminiscent of McDonald’s and Starbucks have seen extra frugal clients opting to eat extra meals at residence amid a cost-of-living disaster, forcing the businesses to supply steeper promotions to draw them to their shops.

McDonald’s, which has a better publicity to the lower-income cohort, noticed its international gross sales progress slowing for the fourth straight quarter.
