Israel military reviews ‘maybe the fiercest’ combating in Gaza’s Jabalia since October


JERUSALEM: The Israeli military instructed AFP on Friday that renewed combating in Gaza’s northern city of Jabalia was “maybe the fiercest” in over seven months of battle.

The military had mentioned in early January that it had “accomplished the dismantling of Hamas’s navy framework within the northern Gaza Strip” and vowed to focus its battle efforts on central and southern areas of the Palestinian territory.

However intense combating resumed lower than every week in the past in Jabalia, the second-most populous city in northern Gaza.

“Hamas was in full management right here in Jabalia till we arrived a couple of days in the past,” the Israeli military instructed AFP on Friday, 4 months after its spokesman Daniel Hagari claimed that militants had been working within the space solely sporadically and “with out commanders”.
