ST. GEORGE — The motive force convicted of the deaths of two cyclists appeared for sentencing amid a courtroom full of the victims’ relations who’ve waited almost 26 months to explain the 2 outstanding males who had been killed that day.
Julie Ann Budge, 48, was in Fifth District Courtroom Tuesday for sentencing on two third-degree felony counts of car murder negligence, in addition to misdemeanor reckless driving and failing to stay in her lane of journey. Budge was convicted of the costs following a five-day jury trial in January.
Budge was the motive force who struck and killed two cyclists — brothers Matthew Bullard and Adam Bullard — throughout an annual journey in Washington County on April 9, 2022. The lads had been collaborating within the Spring Tour of St. George with their teenage sons, each of whom had been trailing behind when their fathers had been struck.
One ingredient talked about a number of instances through the listening to was the lack of Matthew Bullard and Adam Bullard — a loss that resulted in two shattered households left to grieve in silence.
