Bill Belichick has been defended over his romance with a former cheerleader 49 years younger than him by one of his former New England Patriots players.
It emerged two weeks ago that Belichick, 72, and Jennifer Hudson, 23, were in a relationship and have been together for several months. They were also recently pictured together in Nantucket.
Now, former Patriots tight end Pharaoh Brown has admitted he had no idea his old coach was dating someone so much younger than him but wished him well.
Speaking to TMZ, Brown said: ‘Well let me tell you this – the older you get the more rules they try to get you to follow.
‘You’ve just got to keep living. He’s living his life. One thing about Bill is he keeps football football. You’ve got to keep the main thing the main thing. He has always done that when I was there.

‘I’ve never met her, I’ve still never seen her yet. Never anything of that nature when I was there.
‘One thing about Bill Belichick, he’s one of the greatest coaches because he keeps it professional. He know how to keep the main thing the main thing.
‘When you walk into the football place, it is always football. Personal life is personal life and it is no hard feelings.
‘I don’t really think about age, once we get grown. I’ve just turned 30 and I’ve been telling people my body feels like it is 26.
‘I feel like I’m getting younger, more youthful. The age gap is the age gap and that is my thought on that.
‘My whole thing in life is like everybody find love and be happy. If he’s in love and he’s happy, that’s all you can want for another man.’
The pair are said to have first met on a flight to Florida back in 2021, where they bonded over the former student athlete’s philosophy project before exchanging numbers and promising to keep in touch.
Belichick was recently pictured alongside Hudson on a trip to Nantucket
After doing so, their relationship eventually turned romantic when Belichick split from longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday last September, with the six-time Super Bowl winner and his new flame now reportedly living together less than a year later.
Belichick even signed his now-girlfriend’s notebook, writing: ‘Jordon, Thanks for giving me a course on logic! Safe travels!’
He then added his signature and jotted down abbreviations of all six of his championship seasons.
Brown, meanwhile, left the Patriots at the end of last season and has since signed for the Seattle Seahawks.
