5 law enforcement officials have been taken to hospital as a precaution after a person died throughout an arrest.

The officers have been visiting a house on Windridge Means in Kyneton, central Victoria, at 2.30pm on Tuesday as a part of an investigation. 

They arrested a 27-year-old man earlier than he turned unwell and unresponsive. 

Officers tried to carry out CPR on the person, however he died on the scene.

The person is believed to have ingested a poisonous substance.

5 law enforcement officials have been taken to hospital as a precaution. 

In an announcement, police mentioned detectives from the Murder Squad will examine the incident with oversight from Skilled Requirements Command.
