Hall of Fame goalkeeper Tim Howard, a sports columnist for DailyMail.com, has joined NBA star James Harden and become a minority owner in the Houston Dynamo.
The former USMNT superstar, who began and ended his career in Major League Soccer, joins the ownership group that oversees both the Dynamo and NWSL outfit the Houston Dash.
Since retiring, Howard has worked as a sports columnist for Mail Sport, a soccer analyst on NBC Sports and – until recently – the sporting director of Memphis 901. He now joins an ownership group that includes Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers.
‘As someone who has dedicated my life to the sport of soccer, I am thrilled to join the Houston Dash and Dynamo ownership group,’ Howard said.
‘This opportunity allows me to further contribute to the growth of the game in the United States and connect with the passionate soccer fans who call Houston home.’

Howard brings a wealth of experience to the club, having spent more than a decade in the Premier League with Manchester United and Everton.
The New Jersey-native also made 121 appearances for the USMNT, starring at both the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
He was recently inducted in to the US Soccer Hall of Fame in recognition of his unrivalled achievements among American goalkeepers.
