Negotiations between Al Nassr and Manchester City for Ederson have reportedly been called ‘off’ after the Premier League giants rejected a £25million (€30m) offer for the Brazilian goalkeeper.
The 30-year-old has previously said that he is open to moving to Saudi Arabia to join Al Nassr, but City value him at a higher price of approximately £50m (€60m), according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
It means negotiations between the two parties have seemingly stalled after Al Nassr offered half of what City were expecting.
As a result, Al Nassr have turned their attention to Athletico Paranaense and Brazil goalkeeper Bento, with talks reportedly ‘underway’.
The news will come as a blow to Ederson, who was said to be excited about the prospect of taking on the new challenge in Saudi.

The Saudi Arabian Pro League has been keen on Ederson for over a year but they are reluctant to overspend for one of the world’s best goalkeepers who still has two years left on contract.
Man City, meanwhile, could be in line to offer the shot-stopper a bumper new deal as the club looks to stave off interest from rivals.
According to The Sun, Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to offer him an eye-watering £900,000-per-week deal, alongside a hefty signing on fee, which will see his salary rise by 75 per cent.
The report says that while City won’t be able to come anywhere near matching the Saudi club’s terms, they would look to increase Ederson’s pay packet to nearly £1million per month.
Now 30, a new deal would mean City get to keep Ederson at the Etihad for the remainder of his peak years, and signal how important a figure he remains at the club.

Ederson suffered a fractured eye-socket during Manchester City’s 2-0 win against Tottenham, which curtailed his season just one game early.
He kept 13 clean sheets across 33 Premier League matches last season, but has reportedly been considering a new challenge.
Al Nassr have also been credited with interest in the Manchester City goalkeeper as they look to replace David Ospina who is out of contract this summer.
Meanwhile, Norwich are said to be interested in Man City defender Callum Doyle.
