Joey Barton charged with alleged ‘malicious communications’ in the direction of Eni Aluko’ – after evaluating her and fellow pundit Lucy Ward to serial killers Fred and Rose West in January

Joey Barton has been charged with alleged malicious communications in the direction of pundit and former England star Eni Aluko. 

Barton will seem in courtroom on July 30 after an investigation by Cheshire Police. 

In January, the previous Premier League footballer in contrast Aluko and fellow pundit Lucy Ward to the serial killers Fred and Rose West. 

‘A person from Widnes has been summoned to courtroom to face costs of malicious communications,’ a Cheshire Police assertion learn.

‘Following an investigation by Cheshire Police, the Crown Prosecution Service has since authorised the costs for Joseph Barton. The 41-year-old will seem at Warrington Magistrates’ Court docket on Tuesday 30 July.

‘The fees relate to reviews of alleged malicious communications on-line, between Monday 1 January and Thursday 18 January.’

Responding to the costs, Barton wrote on X: ‘I am up subsequent month for ‘malicious communications’ cost at Warrington Magazine for Eni Aluko tweets.

‘Loopy instances we’re residing in. Have not the Police acquired sufficient on their fingers?

‘British system is changing into a Banana Republic. Lawfare used towards its personal residents for having a dissenting voice.’
