‘That was hard to watch!’ Viewers left disgusted as male and female recruit go head-to-head during brutal boxing match on SAS Australia: Hell Week
Social media has erupted over a controversial challenge on SAS Australia Hell Week.
On Monday’s premiere episode of the military-style reality show, there were bloody and brutal scenes as the recruits were pitted against one another in the boxing ring.
Many on social media found the challenge ‘hard to watch’ as youth worker Bec Mitchell, 33, volunteered to fight surfer Mitch Fuller, 22.

‘Beck definitely did hold her ground but man that was hard to watch,’ one viewer tweeted.
‘It’s always hard to watch them beat the sh*t out of each other,’ a second agreed.
Meanwhile, a third commented: ‘Oh man.. when they do the man v woman fights… [sigh face emoji].’

The fight saw Mitch swinging wildly with Bec copping numerous hits to the head and body before she eventually gave up and fell to the floor.
Their fellow contestants appeared distressed as they watched on from the sidelines.
Following the success of the celebrity version of the military-style challenge show, Ant Middleton and his directing staff (DS) have returned for a special new season – but this time, with ‘everyday Australians’ at the helm.

Monday night’s episode saw an array of recruits pushing themselves to the limits in a string of gruelling challenges.
The series kicked off with contestants falling backwards off a platform into water before being stripped naked and told to dress in their uniforms.
