Marisa Abela Radically Transforms Into Amy Winehouse in Biopic

Amy Winehouse‘s life story will quickly gentle up the silver display.

The first teaser for Back again to Black, the future biopic of the famed singer, has been introduced, providing the first official glimpse of Marisa Abela donning the common beehive ‘do and thick eyeliner. 

The film follows the late Grammy winner’s rise to fame and turbulent own lifetime, together with her struggles with addiction and connection with Blake Fielder-Civil (performed by Jack O’Connell)—which in the end encouraged her award-successful album Again to Black.

“I you should not write tunes to be famed,” Marisa, as Amy, claims in a radio job interview through the trailer Jan. 11. “I compose tracks due to the fact I really don’t know what I might do if I did not.”

The teaser showcases moments of Amy’s early on-stage performances and how the singer arrived to uncover her private fashion, like her legendary hair and tattoos. 

The movie will highlight tricky times in the singer’s lifestyle, such as loss of life in her family members, her breakups with Blake and the incessant swarms of paparazzi that followed her each shift amid her community struggle with medicine and alcohol.
