Joey King and Steven Piet walk their first red carpet as newlyweds at the LA premiere of her Hulu series We Were The Lucky Ones: ‘Everything just feels a little bit sweeter’

Joey King and Steven Piet walked their first red carpet as newlyweds at the Los Angeles premiere of her Hulu series We Were The Lucky Ones, which was held inside the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Thursday.

The 24-year-old Emmy nominee admitted ‘life didn’t really change’ after they tied the knot in Spain six months ago, but ‘it does feel different.’

‘Everything just feels a little bit sweeter,’ Joey told People on Thursday.

‘It’s just fun to feel like you are truly hanging out with your best friend every day. It’s a very special feeling.’

King originally met the News & Documentary Emmy-nominated DP on the set of Hulu’s The Act sometime between October 2018-February 2019, but she didn’t ask him out until ‘the end of filming.’

The former child star dressed her slim 5ft3in figure in head-to-toe Prada – a mint textured top tucked into a matching gold pencil skirt, gold peep-toe platforms, and a pink triangular clutch – selected by stylist Jared Eng.

Joey finished off her Easter pastel ensemble with Pomellato jewelry and a navy-blue manicure applied by nail artist Thuy Nguyen.

Hairdresser Rena Calhoun teased King’s highlighted locks into a sixties bouffant ponytail.

Make-up artist Allan Avendaño applied the I Can See You video star’s cat-eye liner and pink pout.

Also joining Joey on the black carpet was her beloved mother Jamie King and grandmother Elaine Farrar.

King positively lit up when she bumped into her We Were The Lucky Ones leading man, Logan Lerman.

The talented twosome play Halina Kurc and Addy Kurc in Erica Lipez’s eight-episode adaptation of Georgia Hunter’s 2017 novel – premiering March 28 on Hulu – about a Jewish family determined to survive and reunite after being separated in World War II.

The 32-year-old SAG Award nominee sported substantial stubble as he posed in a black maxi-blazer over a silky grey top, black trousers, and black shoes.

Logan brought along his fiancée of four months – multimedia artist Ana Corrigan – who kept it simple in a black tube top over a matching maxi-skirt, and pumps.

The LA native and Lerman made sure to pose in a group shot with the cast and crew of We Were The Lucky Ones.

Hours earlier, Joey – who boasts 38M social media followers – performed a silly song on TikTok with a distorted filter: ‘Just doing some laundry, and tonight is the We Were The Lucky Ones premiere. And I’m ready to party on a Thursday! And I’m ready to have some clean clothes! Ready to party on a Thursday! And ready for my show to come out!’

King also has two other films coming out this year – Netflix rom-com A Family Affair and Universal Pictures’ animated flick Despicable Me 4.

The Hamster & Gretel star had a blast catching up with We Were The Lucky Ones creator Erica Lipez at the after-party held in the Academy Museum’s outdoor glass-domed Dolby Family Terrace.

Joey seemed especially close with Amit Rahav, who played her character’s family member Jakub Kurc in the Ben Affleck and Matt Damon-produced historical drama.

Hadas Yaron – who plays Mila Kurc – flaunted substantial cleavage in a white-patterned mini-dress featuring a cut-out at the torso and matching heels.

Lior Ashkenazi – who plays Sol Kurc – was every bit the silver fox in a black suit over a white unbuttoned shirt, and brown Oxfords.

Sam Woolf – who plays Adam – showed up with an injured leg to go along with his cream-colored double-breasted suit and black top.

Also glammed up for the gala premiere were Marin Hinkle, Nicole Brydon Bloom, and Robin Weigert who play Madame Lowbeer, Caroline, and Nechuma Kurc in the show.

Georgia Hunter – who wrote the 2017 novel -wore a sideswept hairstyle with her blue silky halter top and navy palazzo pants.

Suited up and looking dapper at the premiere were Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Michael Aloni, and Ido Samuel who play Genec Kurc, Selim, and Isaac respectively.

Elsewhere at the festivities, five-time Grammy nominee Josh Groban was spotted embracing director Thomas Kail.

The 43-year-old Sweeney Todd thespian brought along his British girlfriend of a year, Natalie McQueen.

Girls 5 Eva star Busy Philipps – who just scored her own QVC+ talk show Busy This Week – wore a nineties floral frock with patent leather red heels.

The premiere served as a glamorous date night for I.S.S. action star Chris Messina and his second wife Jennifer Todd.

Danish actor Caspar Phillipson – who played JFK in both Blonde and Jackie – looked sharp in a black slim suit over a white unbuttoned shirt and patent leather dress shoes.
