Now, a report in the Hindustan Times has revealed the reason behind Aishwarya Rai’s hand injury. A source close to the actress shared that she broke her wrist over the weekend and had to get a cast on. However, she wanted to continue her Cannes tradition so she fulfilled her professional commitment despite the injury. The source said:
“Aishwarya broke her wrist over the weekend and thus had to get a cast on. However, she was adamant that she wants to keep her Cannes tradition going. Thus, even after the injury, she completed her professional commitments and made it to Cannes.”

Aishwarya Rai will undergo a plastic surgery after Cannes
The source further added that Aishwarya had discussions with specialists and doctors before jetting off to France. However, the actress will require surgery on her hand soon, and that will happen only after her return from the film festival. The source said:
“Her surgery is scheduled for later next week, after she returns from Cannes.”
