Taylor Swift adds three new opening acts to London show

Taylor Swift has made a big change to her upcoming London shows.

To celebrate the success of her lead single on The Tortured Poets Department, Swift has announced three new acts to join her star-studded Eras Tour in June and August.

Swift has called on rising stars Benson Boone, METTE and Griff to open on the first three out of eight Wembley Stadium shows.

“I just found out Fortnight is #1 on the UK airplay chart!!!! You guys are amazing and I can’t wait to see you SO [soon]!!” Swift wrote to her Instagram story.

“Thought this might be a fun time to announce the first group of opening acts I’ll be adding to the London shows, going on before Paramore,” she continued.

“I chose artists whose music I love listening to, and I can’t wait for them to add an extra jolt of excitement to our shows at @wembleystadium in June.”

The singer concluded her note by welcoming METTE, Griff and Boone to the Eras Tour.

Beautiful Things singer Boone, who will perform on June 23, reposted the superstar’s Instagram story with a sweet message of thanks.

“@taylorswift so excited to be a part of the show thank you for having me,” he wrote with a crying face and red heart emoji.

Singer METTE, who will take to the stage on June 21, admitted on Instagram she has “Never been so excited in my entire life!!!”

“This was just a few weeks ago and now i’m OPENING FOR TAYLOR?” she wrote on her Instagram story alongside a reshared clip of her reacting to her song BET being played before an Eras Tour show.

“I’M TRULY OVERJOYED AND BEYOND HONORED!!!!!” the singer wrote in all capitals.

The final new support act Sarah Faith Griffiths, known by her stage name Griff, posted a heartwarming message after being added to the record-breaking tour lineup.

“If you know me you know this might be one of the most surreal things to say but TAYLOR SWIFT HAS INVITED ME ON THE ERAS TOUR!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote.

“8 yr old me who had fearless on repeat wouldn’t believe this. So unbelievably grateful to Taylor for all the love she’s shown me and my music.”

Swift has previously shouted out Griff’s music on her social media and posed for pictures with the English singer at the 2021 BRIT Awards.

The Enchanted singer brought her wildly popular Eras Tour to Australia in February with rising pop star Sabrina Carpenter as her support act.

On night one in Sydney, Swift brought Carpenter on stage mid-show to perform a duet.

“thank you Sydney for making me feel so welcome!!” Carpenter wrote after the show.
