Nandamuri Balakrishna has landed in a hot soup after the video of him pushing a Telugu actress, Anjali, on a live event went viral. The footage caught traction in no time, and many celebrities and netizens had strong reactions to the incident. Nandamuri Balakrishna was the chief guest at a pre-release event for Anjali’s upcoming film, Gangs of Godavari, which also stars Vishwak Sen and Neha Shetty in pivotal roles.

The megastar suddenly lost his temper and pushed Anjali aside, which caused the actress to lose her balance. She almost stumbled, but her co-star, Neha supported her, preventing her from falling.

As soon as the video surfaced online, celebrities like Nakuul Mehta and Hansal Mehta bashed the South’s superstar for his behaviour. Hansal Mehta wrote, ‘Who is this sc-mb-g?’ Nakuul Mehta bashed the megastar and penned, ‘Not one person expressed their discomfort. Not one. Ridiculous behaviour by the gent.’ Netizens, too, were not impressed with Nandamuri’s actions and questioned his unjust behaviour.

Indian playback singer, Chinmayi come in support of Anjali
Sharing the video on her X account (former Twitter), Indian playback singer defended Anjali for laughing at the situation. When Nandamuri pushed her, Anjali laughed it off and did not react to the situation, which many netizens did not like. Defending the same, Chinmayi wrote:
“One of the biggest problems that I notice from people sharing this. Look at her laughing. She should have _____. 1. It is NOT possible to respond according to your spectator response as you watch this on your device. This most moral policing, holier than thou – pure as driven snow – Harishchandra /Sri Ramachandramoorthy or their relative incarnates will fail to understand. 2. Society itself refuses to hold men in power who misbehave responsible; Especially when they come from money, caste and political power. Don’t come and tell women what to say and how to behave when you have everything to gain and nothing to lose.”
