Priyanka Chopra’s cousin, Parineeti Chopra, tied the knot with AAP’s MP, Raghav Chadha, in September 2023. The duo exchanged vows in the presence of their family and close friends in the lavish Leela Palace in Udaipur. While PeeCee’s mother, Madhu Chopra attended the wedding ceremony, the globally renowned actress and former Miss World gave the celebrations a miss due to her work commitments.

Recently, Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra sat for an interview with Filmygyan and spoke at length about her life and profession, and Priyanka’s as well. During a fun segment, the host asked to describe a few celebrities from Bollywood by giving them a hashtag. When the host named Priyanka’s cousin, Parineeti, Madhu Chopra said:
“She is a dear girl, beautiful actor, excellent actress.”

When asked about Parineeti’s wedding with Raghav, Madhu Chopra shared that it was a beautiful, typical ceremony that went off without a hitch. Addressing the question of whether Parineeti felt disappointed by Priyanka’s absence, Madhu Chopra revealed the deep understanding and respect the cousins share as professionals in the same industry. In her words:
“Nahi, dono career women hai unko samajh aati hai. They both are professionals and they know their limitations.”

During the same segment, Madhu Chopra described Raghav Chadha as “Arre bada badhiya, biba bacha hai.” Moving on when the host asked how he is as a person, she said that the politician is a highly educated man and is well-spoken in both Hindi and English. She also shared that Raghav has a sense of humour. The host further inquired how are Parineeti and Raghav as a couple. Answering the question, Madhu Chopra added:
“Perfect. They found the perfect partnership. They share a beautiful relationship, and I am really very happy for her. They are perfectly meant for each other.”

Madhu Chopra recalls meeting with Nick Jonas when he asked for Priyanka’s hand in marriage
In the same interaction, Madhu Chopra also shared about Priyanka’s marriage to Nick Jonas. The American singer flew to Mumbai to personally ask her for Priyanka’s hand in marriage. Madhu Chopra mentioned that she was amazed by Nick’s personality and was unprepared when Nick said that he wanted to marry Priyanka. Further, when the host asked how she felt when people were talking about Priyanka and Nick’s huge age gap, Madhu Chopra said that she did not care about such anonymous noises.
