As her latest music “Unpleasant” continues to take social media by storm, the singer shared how her nameplate necklace delivered key inspiration for the monitor. 

“I created this necklace about Christmas time,” Tinashe solely advised E! Information at the Alexander Wang Runway Demonstrate June 5. “It suggests ‘nasty’ simply because I have experienced this nickname in my head ‘Nastynashe.'”

“I had just produced the necklace and I really went to the studio and I was like, ‘Hmm, what need to I create a song about currently?” the 31-year-previous continued. “I was like, ‘Why not generate it about this awful necklace that I just built?’ So it was like the chain manifested the tune.”
