Fast forward to now, while Avika has all grown up and is a gorgeous young actress, she is still recognised by her on-screen character name. And recently, the diva remembered a crucial anecdote from her journey in the serial.
Avika Gor says she learned about menstruation on the sets of Balika Vadhu
Well, for an actress like Avika Gor who spent some of her foundational years on the shooting floors for a show like Balika Vadhu, it included some key learnings about life that she got to know at the age of 12. Speaking about one such aspect, Avika, in a recent interaction with Hauterrfly, claimed that she learned about menstruation while shooting the show. The actress remembered doing a particular scene where her character, ‘Anandi’ starts menstruating for the first time and is meant to stay at her in-laws’ home. Avika recalled how her own mother gave her a brief description of what menstruation means and also made her aware that it would happen with her in real life as well. Avika narrated:
“’For that particular scene my mom had explained to me what periods are. She said, ‘You have this scene so I have to explain it to you. This will happen in real life too but this is how it is.’ So thanks to Balika Vadhu, I learned too many things too early.”

Avika once revealed that she calls paparazzi whenever she is well-dressed
Earlier, in an episode of the podcast, Unfolding Talents, Avika Gor spilled beans on the hidden nature of the celebrity world. She opened up about many artists pulling off fake publicity stunts for attention and media coverage. Moreover, Avika confessed that she too, has often called up the paparazzi to click her pictures, whenever she goes out well-dressed. Calling it all planned, Avika said:
“Let’s be honest, it’s all planned. Everybody knows, everybody is calling the paps, ye sabko pata hai. Maine bhi kisi interview mein mention kiya tha ki main bhi jab airport par spot hoti hun, you will see me the best or the most peacefully dressed warna aise koi airport pe nahi jata, main jab dressed hoti hun tabhi bulwati hun.”
When Avika Gor retrospected her weightloss journey
Back in 2020, Avika Gor, through a social media post, elaborated upon her weightloss journey. She expressed how she broke down after seeing herself in the mirror, where she was shocked to see her big limbs and a belly. She self-criticised and remarked that her weight gain wasn’t because of any medical condition, but, in fact, she just didn’t work out enough. She concluded her note expressing her biggest takeaway wherein she wishes to treat her body well and respect it at all times.

Coming to her personal life, Avika Gor is in a longstanding and serious relationship with her beau and actor, Milind Chandwani. The duo has been going steady for more than two years now. They often post special glimpses of one another on their social media handle. Earlier, in an interaction with Times Now, Avika gushed over, about being asked the sweetest thing her beau, Milind has ever done for her. In her words:
