Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn were among Hollywood’s most celebrated couples. The duo was together for more than six years, and fans loved them. Their relationship was quite private, and only a few glimpses of them together were spotted, but their breakup was quite public and much talked about.
After dating for six long years, Taylor and Joe split quietly for reasons best known to them. There was no blame game or ugly public fight after the breakup. In fact, on the contrary, the former couple did not publicly address the breakup. However, fans are the best detectives, and they soon figured out that the couple had gone their separate ways. Joe, now, after a year of the infamous split, broke his silence on what went wrong in their relationship and how he coped with the loss.

Joe Alwyn talks about his breakup with Tyalor Swift
While Taylor Swift is currently in a very public relationship with American footballer, Travis Kelce, Joe remains single. However, there are reports that suggest that Joe too, has moved on and is in a relationship with a mystery girl. When asked about his breakup with Taylor in an interview with the Times London, Joe revealed:
“As everyone knows, we together — both of us, mutually — decided to keep the more private details of our relationship private. It was never something to commodify and I see no reason to change that now. And, look, this is also a little over a year ago now and I feel fortunate to be in a really great place in my life, professionally and personally. I feel really good.”
Joe added that the end of such a long and loving relationship wasn’t easy to get over. The duo was committed and envisioned a future together, but things did not go their way, so they had to part ways. Joe added that he felt weird when the relationship ended and more so because it was very public. Joe further added:
“I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years. That is a hard thing to navigate. What is unusual and abnormal in this situation is that, one week later, it’s suddenly in the public domain and the outside world is able to weigh in.”

Joe talked about the aftermath of the breakup
In the same interview, Joe added that the media aspect of the breakup was the most challenging part, as every tabloid was covering their personal life. The relationship was ‘not dramatic’ and “the relationship had just run its course.” Joe said:
“So you have something very real suddenly thrown into a very unreal space: tabloids, social media, press, where it is then dissected, speculated on, pulled out of shape beyond recognition. And the truth is, to that last point, there is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said. I have made my peace with that.”
