South Indian superstar, Arjun Sarja (Srinivasa Sarja)’s daughter, Aishwarya Arjun, tied the knot with supporting actor, Thambi Ramaiah’s son, Umpathy Ramaiah, on June 10, 2024. They exchanged the vows in a Hanuman temple built by the actress’ father near Chennai in the presence of their close ones. For the unversed, Aishwarya and Umpathy have also embarked on their acting profession. While Aishwarya made her acting debut with the 2013 film, Pattathu Yaanai, Umapathy worked in films and television shows like Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay, Maniyaar Kudumbam, Thirumanam, Thanne Vandi and Survivor Tamil.

For the star-studded reception bash, Aishwarya Arjun looked ethereal in a baby pink-hued embellished saree paired with a uniquely designed blouse featuring pearl drops near the hemline. The South Indian actress accentuated her look with a pearl and diamond-adorned choker, matching earrings, statement rings and a bangle. Moreover, glam makeup with nude lipstick, winged eyes, and a bun hairdo completed her look. On the other hand, Umapathy Ramaiah mesmerised his fans in a blue tuxedo teamed with a white shirt underneath and a bow.

Aishwarya Arjun and Umapathy Ramaiah’s wedding reception was held at the Leela Palace in Chennai and was attended by many A-listers from the South Indian film industry. In a few pictures that went viral on the internet, the newly-married couple was seen posing with superstar, Rajinikanth, and many others. The notable attendees of the party also included Chief Minister, M K Stalin with his wife, Durga Stalin, Bollywood actor, Jackie Shroff, Vijay Sethupathi, Lokesh Kanagaraj, legendary dancer, Prabhu Deva, Dhruva Sarja with his wife, Prerana, Sivakarthikeyan Doss, and many others. In one of the viral glimpses, the actress’ father, Arjun was seen sharing a close hug with Rajinikanth, making the moment treasurable.

For their temple wedding, Aishwarya looked stunning in a red-hued kanjivaram saree featuring golden threadwork all over it. She paired her saree with a heavily embellished blouse and traditional jewellery, including a choker, a long necklace, a matha patti, a pair of earrings, and a stack of bangles. Aishwarya’s look was completed with subtle yet glam makeup along with a neatly combed bun hairstyle. Umapathy, on the other hand, looked dashing in traditional white attire and perfectly complemented his then-bride.

Aishwarya Arjun and Umapathy Ramaiah’s love story

According to several reports, Aishwarya met Umpathy during the shoot of the reality TV show, Survivor Tamil in 2021. Soon after crossing the paths, they formed a beautiful bond. Following this, Aishwarya and Umapathy’s friendship blossomed into love, and the rest became history.
