Austin Butler reveals his special relationship with Ashley Tisdale’s daughter Jupiter – after ill-fated 9 year romance with her BFF Vanessa Hudgens

Austin Butler has opened up about his special relationship with longtime friend Ashley Tisdale’s daughter Jupiter.

The 32-year-old Elvis star — who is dating model and actress Kaia Gerber — told E! News he loves ‘being the fun uncle’ to the three-year-old tot, whom the 35-year-old High School Musical alum shares with husband Christopher French.

Austin shared at his Bikeriders movie premiere on Monday, ‘I play with the toys and whatnot, and then I can go home at the end of the day.’

He also praised Ashley’s parenting skills, calling her ‘such a good mom.’ He added, ‘I feel so honored to be a part of her life and to get to know her children.’

She is expecting her second child while her best friend and Austin’s ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, 35, is also pregnant.

Austin and Ashley’s friendship stretches back to the early aughts, when they co-starred alongside each other in 2009’s Aliens in the Attic and 2011’s Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.

Butler dated Hudgens from 2011-2020 and as recently as February said he still ‘has so much love and care for her’ in an interview with Esquire.

In May, Tisdale shared her excitement about her High School Musical costar Vanessa’s pregnancy during an Instagram Q&A.

When a fan asked ‘How cool is it that you and Vanessa are having babies at the same time?!’ she responded, ‘It’s very cool!’

The soon-to-be mother-of-two added, ‘I’m so excited for her and this new chapter in her life ❤️.’

Tisdale announced that she was pregnant for the second time with an Instagram post in March. 

Hudgens revealed that she was pregnant while posing for photos on the red carpet of the 2024 Academy Awards ceremony in March. 

The actress will soon welcome her firstborn child with husband Cole Tucker, whom she wed in December.

In May, Hudgens said she looks forward to showing her future children her television and film work.

She told E! News she’s had her future kids in mind throughout her career.

‘I’ll show my kids all my work,’ the mom-to-be shared. ‘That’s why I chose things along the way in my career.’

Hudgens added, ‘I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age.’
